TCS’s 8th grade graduation is a celebration time for students. The ceremony is a Christ-honoring event held in the worship center Tulare First Baptist Church. Graduation guidelines, including clothing requirements, will be given to eighth grade students/parents several months in advance. 

In order to promote academic excellence, character development and accountability, the TCS School Board has adopted the following guidelines for 8^th grade promotion to high school. Only students who meet all of these guidelines will receive a diploma and be allowed to participate in the promotion ceremony, unless prior arrangements have been made with the school board.

• GPA of 2.00 or higher
• complete at least 20 community service hours during the 8^th grade school year
• successfully pass the “Constitution Test” with a grade of 70% or higher

In order for 8^th grade students to participate in the graduation ceremony, school accounts must be paid-in-full before the ceremony.  This includes, but is not necessarily limited to: tuition, fundraising obligation, after school care, Hume Lake and field trips, hot lunch / snacks and late payment charges.
